In Marlon’s Hands
Original Paintings by Marlon and Arika Palladino
Marlon is a very special child. Due to a brain-injury, he is unable to control
his arms or legs and is developmentally delayed. He cannot walk or talk, and yet we play and interact
with him every day in the subtle and quiet ways of special families. Marlon is beautiful in
his innocence and his everyday perseverance.
Marlon's mom, Arika, discovered early on that finger painting was
something both intense and engaging for Marlon. Finger painting evolved over time
to the vibrant paintings that
Arika and Marlon create today.
Using Marlon's Hands as
the brush, Arika and Marlon create simple and colorful works of art that each contain a subtle,
deeper range of emotion and movement.
